Elizabeth M. "Liz"



Elizabeth M. "Liz" Turco, age 64, of Toledo, passed away peacefully where she was surrounded by her family on Monday, November 16, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer at Genesis Health Care Center in Sylvania. She was born on September 9, 1951, to Edgar and Pauline (Cuda) Smith in Toledo. Liz was the youngest of seven children. She loved her children and twelve grandchildren and she was especially close to her daughter, Shannon and Shannon's children, Haley, Kayla and Kelli. Liz was a huge fan of Ohio State football. Her family will dearly miss her and her beautiful smile, especially her sister, Christine, who was by Liz's side through her entire illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bud. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michelle (Todd) Gable, Christina Harvey, Jamie Turco and Shannon Turco; grandchildren, Kelli, Haley, Kayla, Julianna, Kaitlyn, Devin, Derek, Lexi, Shawn, Amira, Grant; siblings, best friend and brother, Danny (Debbie) Smith, Carol Harvey, Joann (Jim) Medkeff, Ethel (Bruce) Rohn whom Liz called her sister, "Little Buddy" and Christine Smith; many nieces, nephews, including special niece, Dawn (Kevin) Lanning.

At this time, all Funeral Services for Liz will be Private. Interment will be Private in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
