Erma L. STIEBEN

STIEBEN Erma L. (Gill) Erma L. Stieben, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2010, at the University of Toledo Medical College. Erma was born October 24, 1916, in Miller City, Ohio, to William D. and Elizabeth Ann (Perky) King. She married Leonard Stieben on August 24, 1936 and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1971. Erma was an antique dealer for ten years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, antiquing, building the family summer home and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Lady Shiners, Dendarah Court (P'Takist) and a volunteer for the American Legion. She was fond of her childhood memories from home and loved sharing them with her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Ronald E. Stieben and Cheri L. (Ken) Stieben-Palicki; grandchildren, Bradford L. (Rachel) and Kase F. Christison, Eric (Mary) Walker and Leigh (John) Eward; four great-grandchildren; brothers, George King and William (Virginia) King; brother-in-law, Bus Erford and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Leonard, Erma was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Alma, Ina, Helen, Florence, Mary and brother, Elwood. Friends will be received Monday, October 11, 2010 from 9- 11 A.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, 419-874-3133, followed by a funeral service at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery in North Baltimore, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Wood County Humane Society and The Shriner's Hospital. The family would like to thank the Perrysburg EMS staff and the personal nursing assistants at the Manor of Perrysburg who took care of Erma.
