I worked with Gene on the Toledo Police Dept. In later years, my wife, Mary, and I would see Gene and Terry in Al Smith's and always reminisce about the good ole days on the force. He was a wonderful man and will be missed.

The three of you were so lucky to have a great father I have such wonderful memories of being at your house. Almost every day Eugene would take us someplace every night Terry and I. I was such a lucky boy to have him in my life. I didn't see my father very much but gene was always there you will always be in my heart forever. I will miss him dearly and I wish all of you the best, Terry. It's been a long time if you ever have a few minutes. Please get a hold of me and we'll just reminisce about the old days.

I remember having many conversations with Gene when I was a young officer with the TPD. He was always interesting and I always enjoyed his company.
