He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Gertrude "Darlene" Higgs-Spearman; daughters, Regena N. (Tony) Robinson, Latoya M.(Henroy) Burton of Hopkins, MN, A'Paris U. Higgs of Atlanta, GA, and Portress C. Higgs; stepson, Demetrius Spearman; K-9 companion, Kenda; grandchildren, Tommie Evans III, Ariyana L. Green, Christian N. Toyer, Ty'Ron Hamilton, Ty'Shon Hamilton, Gary L. Townsend and Le'Nayia N. Jones; great-grandchildren, Da'Nyia Evans, Geremiah D. Sutton, Tommie Evans IV, and Trinity Evans; brothers, Brent (Lula) and Michael Spearman of Houston, TX; sisters, Carolyn (Tommy) Porter, Mary Spearman of Green Springs, OH, Betty Spearman (Johnny Langston), Regina (Michael) Dixon, Rosa Tobias, LaVerne (Willie) Nalls of Lexington, MS, and Henrietta Nash; special friends, Andy Bell, Larry Lacey, Lance Chaney, Kevin Coffey, Albert Savage, Victor Steel and Michael Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at The C. Brown Funeral Home Inc. Chapel, 1629 Nebraska Avenue 43607. A Family Hour/Wake will be 12 noon, Saturday, December 9, 2017 with Funeral at 1 p.m. at The Solid Rock Church, 1202 Vance Street 43607. Pastor Willie C.H. Garrett, Officiant.

My condolences to the Spearman Family.Gene was like Family we grew up together along with his 8 brothers and 5 sisters.Mrs Ada fed me like I stayed there and sometime I did.My Family and his was like One my Brother Kenny and Gene was thick as thieves.God Bless you Gene and the rest of the Spearman Family
