EvaMay Clara
EvaMay Clara Kirkman, 95, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Otterbein Perrysburg. EvaMay was born July 30, 1921, in Toledo, Ohio to Welcome C. and Clara M. (Gray) Bridge. She was the oldest living member of St. John XXIII. EvaMay enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. EvaMay will be dearly missed by all who loved her, especially her great friends from Dr. Mcauley's Court whom she cared deeply for.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Roberta) Kirkman and Rebecca (Hershel) Cook; seven grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and sister,
Charlotte (Mario) Rossi.
EvaMay was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Joseph Noel; brother, Melvin Bridge; and sister, Iva Shimman.
Friends will be received Friday, August 19, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) with the rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home, Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. John XXIII, 24250 Dixie Highway, Perrysburg, Ohio 43351, burial to follow in Willow Cemetery, Oregon. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John XXIII. Condolences may be made online the family at

Becky, I remember your mom so very well since she was at times, my second mother when I would spend time at your place. She was a gem and I know the Lord has her with him now. Cherish the memories. She was a good person and one I'll always remember. My sincere sympathy to you and your family. I lost my Mom 3 yrs ago but still have my Dad who just turned 93.

My Busia, Bernice Diefenbach, was friends with Eva May for a very long time and I used to accomplish them on some of their trips downtown as a child. I know that my Busia will miss Eva May very much. So sorry for your loss.
