A true Bulgarian. Came from Bulgaria on a steam ship in 1937 but always cherished the memory of her village and the river Yantra. As a Bulgarian, and born in the region where she was from, I know what beauty she left behind and carried in her heart. I had the pleasure of becoming her fried while I was finishing my PhD studies in BGSU. I have recorded a video with her giving an interview about Bulgaria and the old Bulgarians that used to be so many in Toledo. I will make sure this interview is shown on national Bulgarian TV next time I return to our home country. God bless her memory and may we always remember how kind and humane she was, and how much she loved to be alive and lived to the full her life. Georgi, Pittsburgh, PA
