Florence T. Kruzel "Our Angel"

Florence (Posadny) Kruzel passed away on April 11th at home with family near her side.

Florence was born in Toledo, OH, married 49 years to Raymond Kruzel, Sr., and had five children, Stanley (wife Ellie, deceased), Bob (wife Peggy), Ray (wife Pat), Marie James (son-in-law David), and Jim. A devoted mother she was, but times were tough and Florence helped out with odd jobs doing housekeeping and clerking at Tiedtke's.Chores were not foreign to her. She was a member of PTA, always helping at school and very involved in her church, St. Anthony's. She would wash and starch the linens as part of her "things to do list" yet never neglecting her family. Her work never seemed done.As life goes on and grandchildren were coming along, Florence went to work as a cook at the Medical College of Toledo. Florence was a natural at cooking and baking. She was artistic and loved to bake and decorate beautiful cakes for weddings and showers. Oh those coffee cakes that she put out! What lovely memories!She was very creative and had many talents. One of her favorite hobbies was to crochet, always making afghans, hats or something for family and friends. Everyone has an afghan from "Busia". In the last few years she especially enjoyed ceramics and painting bird houses. Even after turning 100 years old, she love to express herself through these projects. But her main focus was always "Family First". She loved her family.Florence finally moved to Newberg, OR after back and forth trips visiting her daughter. Time spent in Oregon and traveling to Ohio and Georgia was a lot of fun. Florence was an active members of CDA at St. Peter's Catholic Church. When she couldn't get to church she watched it broadcast on EWTN. Florence always held a rosary in her hand or had it near her side.Florence leaves behind her five children and their spouses, 16+ grandchildren, 24+ great-grandchildren, remarkably 3 great-great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Providence Hospice or your choice of charities.A Mass will be announced at St. Peter's in Newberg. A public Celebration of Life will be announced in Toledo and a private interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Toledo, OH.Arrangements by Attrell's Funeral Chapels, Newberg and Sherwood.
