Florence E. STEVENS

STEVENS Florence E. Florence E. Stevens, of Clermont, FL, formerly of Toledo OH, went home to be with the Lord December 10, 2009, at the age of 108. She was born to the late Elias and Eliza (Bilderback) Hileman October 10, 1901, in Van Wert County, OH. She married Revillo O. "Bill" Stevens December 6, 1925. He was a Justice of the Peace a number of years in Washington Township, Lucas County, Ohio. Together, they operated a grocery store and gas station for 7 years in the Shoreland area, Washington Township. Florence was a homemaker and dearly beloved mother of 6, grandmother of 23, great grandmother of 49 and great, great grandmother of 32. She had a big impact on the lives of her 110 decedents. Her 108th birthday was celebrated October 10, 2009, in Clermont, FL, where 66 family members gathered to honor her. She was a Godly woman all her life, and was a living testimony to all who came in contact with her. Florence was preceded in death by her husband in 1962; sons, Alvin and Wallace Stevens and daughter-in-law, Betty Stevens; brothers, John, Joseph, Isaac and Paul Hileman; sisters, Dora Rabbe, Eva Saddler, Gracie and Hattie Hileman. Surviving are her brother, Harvey Hileman, Willshire OH; daughter, Della Erswell Wilson, Clermont FL; sons, Melvin Stevens (who passed away the day after his mom), Toledo OH; Revillo "Bill" (Carolyn) Stevens, Temperance MI and John (Jo) Stevens, Ottawa Lake MI; daughter-in-law Denelda (Wallace) Stevens, New Port Richey FL. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13 at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, Tremainsville at Alexis, 419-473-1301 Toledo, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where joint funeral services for Florence and Melvin will be held Monday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m. Services are conducted by Pastor Craig Killinen of BridgePoint Church, Temperance.
