Francis Clear Obituary
July 5, 1939 - December 24, 2020
Beloved father, son, brother, husband and papa gained his wings on Christmas Eve. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Pat had a 33 year career with the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department. He was appointed March 6, 1964 and retired as a Deputy Chief on March 7, 1997. Pat's most favorite place was his cottage at Lake Wilson where he spent his summers with family and friends. Pat and Kathy resided in Arizona during the winter, where he leaves behind many friends who will cherish his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; and her children, Nick (Alycia) Crall; daughter, Angie (Melissa Guy) Crall and their daughter, Eleanor Guy. Also surviving are Pat's daughters, Dawn Clear, Shawn (Jeff) Englehardt, Shannon (John) Clawson and Heather (Brent) Wettle; his grandchildren, Brad Kruger, Patrick Beck, Justin Beck, Abby Clawson, Ashley Kellett, Emily Baylosis, Morgan Englehardt, Mickenzie Wettle, Sophia Wettle, Olivia Wettle; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Cole, Miller and Oliver, with another on the way. He is also survived by brothers, Steve (Mary) Clear, Mike (Marilyn) Clear and Joe (Sandra) Clear and families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Patrick Clear Sr. and Kathryn Clear; along with his sister, Janet Bauman.
There will be a private memorial at a later date.

Pat was a great guy. Easy to talk to and always entertaining about his fireman adventures. You will be missed. My condolences to your immediate family and the Clear boys (Joe, Steve, and Mike).

I knew Pat when I was in grade school, and worked with him on the Fire Dept. A better man, you won't find. My condolences go out to Steve, Joe, Mike and the rest of the family. R.I. P. Pat.

Known the Clear Family from days I delivered Blade to their home on Clark Street. Our family attended Good Shepherd Church and School as did the Clear Family. Not surprising Pat became an outstanding member of the Toledo Fire Department . On behalf of my brothers who all knew Pat, please accept our condolences, Tom, Jim, Charlie, Mike Sheehy

i can remember you and i pouring water out of a hydrant over our heads to cool off at the ensine foundry and overmeyer warehouse fire .we were rookies from the drill school then..rip pat
