Franklin J.

Franklin J. Velker, 63, of Whitehouse, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Toledo, Ohio. He was born May 24, 1952, to Franklin G. and Jacqueline (Mooneyham) Velker in Toledo, Ohio.

Franklin served in the United States Navy. He was a brick mason and was very proud of his work. Franklin enjoyed playing his drums as well as listening to music and watching movies. He especially liked to hang out with his friends.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Stanley and Kelly.

Surviving are his children, Kristy (Frank), Podrue, Chelsea Hensley, Frank (Sarah) Velker, and Wesley (Juana) Velker; brother, Tom Velker; sisters, Linda (George) Boerger, Jackie Velker, Michelle (Kenneth) Fix; grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Zoe, Braxton, Wesley, Isabelle, Sofia, and Victor.

Visitation for Franklin will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 W. Second Street, Grand Rapids, Ohio. Funeral services for Franklin will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements entrusted to the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 W. Second St., Grand Rapids, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be gifted in Franklin's honor to the donor's choice.
