Freda Zam Obituary
Freda Zam, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 24, 1946 to Frank and Mertie (McMillin) Ray. Freda graduated from Bedford High School and went on to obtain her associates degree. She worked at Devilbiss for many years before its closing. She was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish â€" St. Stephens Catholic Church. Freda enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working puzzles, reading, cooking Hungarian food, traveling and listening to music. What she cherished most was spending time with her family and loved ones.
She is survived by her sons, Randy (Karen) and Mike Zam; grandchildren, Mike Jr., Ryan, Mason, Randy Jr., Braheem; great-grandchildren, Colson and Scarlett; sister, Teresa (Greg) Haase; and niece, Haley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Jr.; brother, Kenneth Ray; and son, Christopher.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Monday, September 26, 2022 2:00 p.m. â€" 8:00 p.m. With recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Epiphany of the Lord Parish- St. Stephens, 1880 Genesee St., Toledo, Ohio, 43605 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Freda's name may be directed to Kidney Foundation or Zam Family.
