Frederick Saunders Obituary
Frederick "Fred" J. Saunders, 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on October 20, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Fred was born in Toledo on May 31, 1940, to Ernest and Josephine (Speicher) Saunders.
Fred worked for various trucking companies, the last being JC Penney Furniture Warehouse. He enjoyed duck hunting and fishing on Lake Erie with his brother, James.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Barbara Jarrell and Darlene Fouts. He is survived by brothers, James and William Saunders; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, on Thursday, October 23rd, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home, on Friday, at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio.
