Gary Samples Obituary
Gary Ross Samples of Perrysburg, passed away, at the age of 82, on January 10, 2021 at Browning Masonic Community in Waterville, Ohio. He was born April 11,1938 in Elyria, Ohio to Robert Ross Samples and Mary Catherine (Gordon) Samples.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Jeannette (Jan) Caress Samples; daughters, Elizabeth Samples Ury and Julie Rebekah Samples; granddaughter, Hannah Christine Ury; and his sister, Linda (Samples) Warner.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 10:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. at Perrysburg First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Second St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:15 a.m. at the church. Gary was laid to rest in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.

We send our sincere sympathy to Jan, their daughters Liz and Julie as well as their family. Gary was a special friend. He a true gentleman, very quiet but he had a very cute sense of humor. We enjoyed all the times we shared together with Gary and Jan. May your beautiful memories bring you comfort and joy forever.

Jan, I´m so sorry. Gary was one of my oldest friends, beginning in college, then carpooling to Scott in that green VW bug that frequently sported a canoe on top. More recently we met at the occasional Democratic function. He was a good guy who did lots of good things. I hope you and the family accept my most sincere condolences.
