Genevieve Theresa ZIELINSKI

ZIELINSKI Genevieve Theresa Genevieve Theresa Zielinski, age 87, of Toledo, died July 18, 2010, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Genevieve was born on December 12, 1922 in Toledo, to Peter and Agnes (Malczewski) Skrzypniak. She married Frank Zielinski September 5, 1939 in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Genevieve worked as an Assistant Government Inspector for the Egg division of Cortland Produce until they were bought out by Foodtown. She then worked for Foodtown for many years until retiring in 1988. Very proud of her Polish heritage, she was a great cook who would cook all the Polish dishes. Genevieve was a Board Member for the Chet Zablocki Senior Center and would volunteer her time working at the St. Hedwig Polish Festival. Surviving are her loving children, Frank Zielinski Jr, Genevieve Threet, Joe (Anne) Zielinski, Roger (Madeline) Zielinski, Karen (Richard) Adrian, Todd (Pam) Zielinski, Jan (Suzette) Zielinski, 35 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Sr.; son, Lee, and grandchildren, Becky Threet, Todd Zielinski Jr. and Jennifer Threet. Also preceding her in death were her 3 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 8:00 p.m., at the Urbanski Funeral Home, 2907 LaGrange at Dexter Street, at Dexter (419) 244-4611. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care and compassion and suggests that contributions be given to Hospice in Genevieve's name.
