Geraldine Dandino Obituary

Geraldine Ann Dandino

Geraldine Ann Dandino passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 94 years old at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. She was born to Charles and Emma Morton on March 25, 1928.

She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She married the love of her life, Louis Dandino. She worked at Toledo Edison and retired in 1988. After retirement, Gerry and her husband, Louie, enjoyed traveling to Australia, Florida, and took the Delta Queen up the Mississippi River. They enjoyed camping in Grayling, Michigan.

Gerry was a member of the Eastern Stars, Maumee VFW, and loved to go dancing. Gerry loved nothing more than spending time with her family and grandchildren, and never missed an event with them. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She enjoyed family gatherings and making her famous chocolate pretzels. Gerry was kind to everyone and enjoyed time spent with her cousin, Betty, and was fortunate to live across the street from her.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Charles Morton; her husband of 62 years, Louis Dandino; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Richard Dandino. Gerry is survived by sons, Mike (Sandy), David (Paula), and Gary; grandchildren, Michael R. (Shelly), Charles, Adrianna, Amanda Wayton (Ryan), Tony Dandino (Sean Mefferd), Kyle Howard (Brooke), Kayla Tramontana (Shon), Karlee Yodzis (Danny), Joe Dandino; great-grandchildren, Ella, Alexandra, Payton, Mila, Riley and Chase.

Gerry will be greatly missed but now will be reunited with her husband. May she dance in heaven and find peace in the Lord's arms. Gerry's services will be private.

The family would like to thank all of the loving and caring staff at Kingston Care of Sylvania. They opened their hearts to her and cared for her as family. May she continue with her feistiness in heaven and leave behind many smiles and laughs to all that knew and loved her.

I am so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. I will always remember her sweetness. Everytime I saw her I would end up chuckling at something she'd say....not meaning to be funny...but she was. Prayers for your family and may all the memories you have bring you comfort. Up until the passing of your dad,it seemed if one was mentioned the other one was too. I remember it was always "Louie and Gerry".....I am sure they are now together again in a better place as "Louie and Gerry".
