Geraldine Johnson Obituary
May 13, 1927 - June 7, 2023
Geraldine M. (Longmore) Johnson, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died June 7, 2023, at age 96 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Geraldine was born May 13, 1927, to Andrew and Sevilla (Goebel) Longmore. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School where she excelled in academics and developed a strong love of her Catholic faith. After high school she met the love of her life, Paul Johnson. They were married and raised 13 children. Better known as "Geronimo" by her husband, Paul, Gerry had three loves in her life. She loved her husband, Paul, loved her family and most importantly, she loved her relationship with GOD.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Johnson; daughter, Christine Giles; son, Timothy Johnson; grandson, Gus Johnson; and son-in-law, Douglas Green. Also preceding her are her siblings, Nora Sheahan, Mary Miller, John Longmore and James Longmore.
Geraldine is survived by her sons, Marty (Margaret), Michael (Cindy), Thomas (Angie), Philip (Terri), Matthew (Gretchen), Jeffrey (Kim) Johnson; and son-in-law, William Giles. She is also survived by her daughters, Mary Fox, Patricia Green, Margaret Kennedy (Robert), Kathryn Wilson (Greg) and Amy Johnson; along with 47 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and her cousin, Con Nolan (Anne).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, Ohio, followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery will be private. Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd., Toledo is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Catholic Club, Toledo Diocese CYO or a charity of your choice.

I have such fond memories of the summer I spent with the Johnsons at their resort in Northern Michigan. Gerry and Paul treated me more like a daughter than like the "helper" I was supposed to be.
I´m sorry I can´t be there to celebrate her beautiful life, but I will hold her, and her family in my thoughts and prayers. May God rest her soul and give comfort to all who loved her.

To family. Hope you all know how special your mom was to me, and in the life of my children. She was a mentor to me for motherhood, and just life in general. So happy she is finally at peace and with her her love of her life, and with those of her children that have gone before her. My love and prayers are with you all. Death is never easy.

To the Johnson tribe, I know your hearts are heavy with the loss of such a wonderful mother but I hope they pain is slightly soothed knowing that your mom is dancing in the arms of her husband once again.
