Grace COY Obituary

COY Grace E. Grace E. Coy, 86, formerly of Luckey, died December 21, 2011. Grace was born west of Luckey, on Jan 2, 1925, the daughter of Edwin and Katheryn (Bursiek) Hebler. She graduated from Webster High School and Riverside School of Nursing. During her nurse's training, many called her "Little Miss Sunshine." Grace worked for several different doctors and hospitals in Toledo and then Dr. Leroy Eulberg in Pemberville for over 15 years. Grace met Richard (Dick) Coy while she was in nursing school and they were married in 1946. They lived most of their lives on the family farm, west of Luckey. When they retired in 1991, they moved to Perrysburg and wintered in Florida. They also enjoyed taking many trips throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Grace was an avid vegetable gardener and her hobbies included crocheting, knitting and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family and all family members knew that there would always be pie, cake or cookies available. After her husband's death in 2006 Grace moved to Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek in Holland, OH where she enjoyed numerous activities and developed many friendships with fellow residents. Grace was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Donna Miller in Phoenix, AZ; three children, Edwin A. (Diane) Coy, Linda L. (Arnold) Smith, Janet A. Coy (Jonathan Schonsheck); eight grandchildren, Emily Coy, Erin (Kevin) Anderson, Elizabeth Coy, Murphey Coy, Scott (Mandy) Smith, Jennifer Smith, Stefan Schonsheck, Nikolas Schonsheck and three great-grandsons.
