Harry R. Gorajewski, age 92, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Kingston Residence of Sylvania. He was born June 19, 1923, in Toledo, OH to Anthony and Anna (Wojciechowski) Gorajewski. A decorated US Army veteran, Harry was a pigeoneer in the 278th Signal Pigeon Company during WWII. He retired as an inspector from the Chrysler Jeep Corporation after 40 years of employment. Harry was a longtime parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was an avid football fan of Ohio State and the Green Bay Packers. Passionate in his love of nature and animals, he raised pigeons and tropical fish, and spent many hours tending his flower and vegetable gardens. He was a loving and patient man, always caring and courteous to others, and will be dearly missed.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emily Gorajewski; sister, Mary Ann Stehle; and brothers, Joseph, Carl, Francis and Jimmy Gorajewski. He is survived by his daughter, Candice (Ed) McGrath; son, Robert Gorajewski; granddaughter, Kelly (Jon) Smith; great-grandson, Jonny; sister, Theresa Daugherty; and dear friends, Renee Relford and her son, Mitch.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral Services will begin on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. The Lucas County Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors in Resurrection Cemetery.
