Harvey Weinman Obituary
Harvey Weinman a native Toledoan and longtime Sylvania resident, died Sunday at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio. He was 77.
Mr. Weinman died of complications following a long battle with Lymphoma, said his son, Greg Weinman of Crofton, MD.
From 1964 until 1980, Mr. Weinman was the owner and operator of Walfords Family Stores in Toledo and Port Clinton. In the years that followed he owned and operated Richards Town and Country, a women's apparel store in Fremont, and later enjoyed a successful career with United Insurance.
Mr. Weinman was born July 11, 1939, in Hartford, CT, to Myer and Ruth Weinman. He attended DeVeaux Elementary and graduated from DeVilbiss High School. He later studied at the University of Toledo.
Mr. Weinman is survived by his wife of 54 years Louise (Treuhaft) Weinman. Also surviving Mr. Weinman are his sons, Greg Weinman, Andrew Weinman, and Jeff Berman; his sisters, Rhoda Miller of Tucson, AZ and Kaya Singer of Eugene, OR; his brother, Richie Weinman of Eugene, OR; and four grandchildren, Kelsey, Jack, Sophia, and Mary Isabelle.
Mrs. Weinman will be welcoming friends and family this coming Wednesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at her home at 2923 Stoneleigh Drive, Toledo.
A memorial event will take place at a later date.
The family suggests tributes to Be The Match, the National Marrow Donor Program.

Sorry to hear about Harvey. We went to junior high and DeVilbiss high together. I remember talking to him at our last high school reunion. He told me that he always thought of me as the "new kid" because I moved to the DeVeaux neighborhood just before the start of 7th grade. Harvey was a good guy. I always considered him a true friend.
