Helen L.
Helen L. Robinson 85, passed away April 20, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Born in Ridley, TN she was a 1951 graduate of Scott High School. Helen retired from Flower Hospital after 35 years as a surgical technician. She was a well-known caterer in the Toledo area working for many prominent families. Helen was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Jewel Chapter #20 and Mecca Court #73. She and her sister Mary Catherine Early were proprietors of the Serendipity Shop at Cricket West.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, William Pettigrew and Martha Bingham Pettigrew, and sister, Mary Catherine Early. She leaves to cherish her memory husband of 48 years, Will A. Robinson; daughter, Charlene Gillespie Miller; son, John C. Gillespie; stepson, Dale (Vernetta) Robinson; grandchildren, Kaylene G. Miller, Christopher Milburn, C'Shareese Parker; great-grandchild, Cayla Milburn; nephew, Darrell L. (Terry) Steele; nieces, Cheryl (James) Bankston and Theresa Early; devoted friends, Betty Browning and Maude Crowder and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Bishop Duane C. Tisdale officiant. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
