I now live in Venice Florida, however I am formerly from the small town of Walbridge and then Perrysburg. Of course, Elmore was a very familiar name to me. I have been a WWII collector since my service during the Cold War. I am also a graduate of the R.O.T.C. program at B.G.S.U. In my collection is a copy of an article provided to me with the memorabilia of Jack Olsen who was a pilot with the Army Air Corps during WWII. The Article was published in the September issue of the Air Force Magazine in 1997. It is the title of the article that I think is very relevant. The title is VALOR, Lest We Forget. My interpretation is that we should never forget those brave souls like Howard. This story (obituary) confirms that in fact we have not. We have no greater gift than to be protected by those brave men and women. My condolences to Howard's family. You will now have a place nearby to recognize "Valor".
