Jacqueline Ann Veres

Jacqueline Ann Veres, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on October 27, 2024. Born on June 30, 1948, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Robert and Vera (Moore) Hites. Jacqueline dedicated her life to her work as a housekeeper, a role in which she took great pride.

Jacqueline was an avid Cleveland Guardians fan never missing cheering them on. She also enjoyed the Cavaliers, Toledo Walleye, and O.S.U. football. Jacqueline loved working in the yard gardening and mowing the lawn. She would even help her family with their yards.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly (Bruce) A. Michalak; her son, Bryan Paul Veres; her brother, Robert (Jill) Hites, Jr.; and her sister, Rhonda Schmidt. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Hites; her mother, Vera J. Hites; her sister, Connie Hites; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Schmidt.

Funeral services were entrusted to Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services for Jacqueline are private and she will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society. Jacqueline will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
