Jacqueline "Jackie" Yoder

Jacqueline "Jackie" Yoder, 90, formerly of Maumee, passed away peacefully after her battle with Alzheimer's on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at The Grove. Jackie was born March 7, 1927 in Bowling Green, OH. She married Charles Yoder on October 25, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 2008. She graduated from Mary Manse College and was a second grade teacher in her early career. Then Jackie transitioned to Schauder and Martin Architecture. She was a charter member of the Brandywine Country Club and was chairwoman of their Christmas auction for many years. She was an avid golfer and volunteered at the Jamie Farr Golf Classic. Jackie also loved gardening and entertaining friends and family.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Charles; and sons Scott, Chris, and Jack.

Survived by her children, W. Suzanne and Tom (Cindy); daughters-in-law, Colleen and Deb; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Julie, Kristen, and Drew at The Grove, as well as the staff at Senior Care Mgt for their special care.

Private services will be at a later date. If you would like to make a donation in Jackie's honor, please send your donations to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

Words cannot express how sorry I am with the passing of your Mother. I will dearly miss her morning smile and beautiful blue eyes. Despite her Alzheimer's, Jackie was a wonderful example to her family and all who knew her of how life could be lived with dignity, grace and joy. Jackie loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jackie and her family became my second family and I will cherish that forever. I know your sorrow is heavy, but knowing you had such a wonderful Mother is a gift you will have forever. Love you all!
