James Anaple Obituary

James "Jimbo" Michael Anaple

Jim Anaple, 58, a resident of San Diego, California, passed from this life on Saturday, May 10th, 2025. Jim was born February 17th, 1967, in Toledo, Ohio, to Timothy and Edna Anaple. Jim was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and the University of Toledo. Jim's father introduced him to sports at an early age; on television and in their front yard. He attended his first baseball game with his dad at the age of seven, where baseball became his true passion. His favorite teams were the Toledo Mud Hens and San Diego Padres.

After college and several years as a producer at station 104.7 WIOT, Jim moved to San Diego, California, where he began a career in the insurance industry.

Jim became an author and published two books. Be Amazing: But Failure Comes First, And Sometimes Failure is Fun, published 2011. Followed by his second book; Shoot the Gap: It's Not Just a Strategy, It's an Attitude, published in 2018.

Jim was a kind, generous, and thoughtful man. His vibrant smile would light up a room and warm the hearts of those around him. Jim was known to share insightful stories, jokes, sports statistics, and comforting advice. He was a true friend to everyone he knew.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Marie Anaple, Lawrence and Gertrude Wenzlick; and sister, Carol Anaple.

Surviving are his parents, Timothy and Edna Anaple; siblings, Mary (Mike) Billiard, Kathy (Bob) Middleton, Raymond (Becky) Anaple, Michael (Fiona Woon) Anaple; nieces and nephew, Megan Anaple, Kayla Billiard, Kaitlyn Billiard, Karolyn Billiard, Jonathan Middleton, and Brooke Middleton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as his best friends, Jeff, Candy, and Paige Carney and Lee Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating in Jim's memory to the Miguel Aguila Memorial Golf Tournament. https://www.mamgolf.com/

Hi Tim and Edna. This is Chuck (Ron) and Nancy Miller from Sun Lakes Az. Our heartfelt prayers go out to you both for your loss. We understand your pain as we also lost a daughter when she was just 60. The loss of a child is difficult to accept. The memories will never leave. May God bless "Jimbo" and you both during these difficult times. Ron & Nnacy
