James Allen "Jim" Doore
James Doore, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jim was born on June 7, 1935 in Charles City, IA, to Harold and Mary Doore. Jim served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He married Mary Lou Bartmann whom he met in college.
Jim and Mary moved to Toledo, Ohio in the late 1960 where he retired from the post office. Jim was a member of the Knights of Columbus St Jude's Council 3904 and the Catholic War Veterans where he served in numerous offices. Jim was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a member of their St Vincent DePaul Society.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janet Roberts and JoAnne Blocker. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Kim Stiles; sons, Ron (Jennifer Welsh) Doore, Mark (Heather) Doore. Jim is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S Reynolds Rd. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 3-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:00 a.m. where the family will greet guests starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment services will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

My name is Rose Dennis and I was a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes for many years before we all moved to Indiana a year and a half ago. I remember Jim and his great kindness to me. He introduced me to the chaplet of Divine Mercy. Anyways, I just stumbled on his obituary now. I am having a series of Holy Masses said for his blessings in heaven. May God bless his whole family....
