I was a walking partner with Jim for a few years while he lived in Gambier. We both loved classical music and the outdoors. He had an extraordinary mind and was engaging and knowledgebable about many things. I will miss him.

Trina and Lacksonen Family,
Please accept belated condolences for your father's passing. I am a distant relative but had the pleasure over the last 10-15 years of re-connecting with Jim through my parents and watercolor painting. My mother, is Jim's cousin. He visited and helped get my father (and myself) interested in watercolor. I loved Jim's style and he mentored me after my Dad passed in 2015. Please let me know the details of the memorial. I would like to attend and bring my mother if able. Again, sincere sympathy for you and hopes that your memories will help you all through this difficult time.

You have my sincerest condolences on the passing of your father. My brother,Tom Schell knew your father at UT-chemical engineering- and introduced me to him after he purchased many of his watercolors for his home which we all enjoy to this day! I was able to purchase one with birch trees for my parents which they enjoyed and another for myself, which I have hanging in my new apartment. Friends always remark fondly about your Dad's paintings. He will be missed.

Professor Lacksonen was a great instructor. He had a way of making complex concepts relatively easy to understand. That didn't stop him from telling our Intro to Chem Engineering class to "Look to your left, look to your right. One of you three won't be here at the end of the semester." Fortunately my wife to be and I both made it through. We are grateful for the exciting careers he helped open up for us.

I was blessed to have known Jim for a short time in Toledo, at CPC. We shared ideas and experiences of God´s universal love, the nature of free will and fly fishing. He was an important link in my chain of being. I am so thankful to have known him and his loving wife Ann.
