I've been thinking a lot about Ted the past year since I heard about his passing. We spent a lot of time together during high school, and Ted deeply influenced me. His love for the outdoors, including his family's cabin in Presque Isle created the same calling for me throughout my life. I learned how to really cross country ski from Ted and sometimes I think about him now when I'm doing a double pole kick (which I learned from him). He of course liked to debate which created many spirited conversations. Lastly, I remember Ted for his sense of humor. So many laughs and mischievous smirks. When we reconnected several years ago, he was the same Ted!

It is so sad to hear Ted left us at such an early age. I always enjoyed his antics in high school and was fortunate to reconnect with him in later years as he brought his one year old son to visit with me as a patient. I can´t tell you how surprised I was to see a patient on my schedule with the last name of Lacksonen! I always enjoyed our intense conversations and hope Ted finally found some peace. My thoughts go out to his family at this time.

Ted, you were so much fun to be around. I cherish our relationship, our time together, our common interests. I miss you sorely. At the moment, it feels like I'll never laugh again, but I know you wouldn't want that to happen, so I'll try in time to find humor in the world. Maybe next year. All of my love, your wife.

Oh my gosh! Such a loss! Ted, ever since you, Jeff Giha and I shared pre-k play dates I have thought you were one of the smartest and funniest friends. You had a silly grin on your face while you teased your friends but you always had a deep, sweet sensitive side. You will be missed!

Ted - I will cherish all the great memories we had together in High School, you were such an original. Ski trips, golf course high jinks, a multitude of sporting events, formals, theater, FL spring break '86, so many good times never to be forgotten.

Ted - you have been like a brother to me for 40 years. I will always remember all the good times and laughs, as well as deep conversations, we have shared for so many years. The impact you have had on so many lives - including mine - is immeasurable. Until we meet again, dear friend.
