James Theriac

James "Jim" E. Theriac, age 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born on October 27, 1951, to John and Margaret (Poley) Theriac.

Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Linda (Jelinek); his son, Brian (Rachel); love of his life granddaughter, Eve; mother, Margaret; sisters, Sharon Schomburg (Joseph), Kathy Glesmer (Larry), Theresa Kelly, Debbie Bunting (Ray), and Diane McCray (Nathan); brother-in-law, Richard Jelinek (Terri); sister-in-law, Pat Theriac; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John; and brother, Clarence.

Jim was an avid sports participant, playing basketball and baseball at both Pickett School and Macomber High School. Upon graduating, Jim worked for various companies, including Chrysler, Libbey Owens Ford ("LOF"), Haughton Elevator, and Guardian Glass. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching his son Brian's baseball teams: Fall-Meyer, McKinley, and Loma Linda. Jim also enjoyed participating in various bowling leagues throughout the city.

Visitation will occur from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with the service being held at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Newcomer Northwest Toledo Chapel, located at 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio.
