James Tyson Obituary

James R. Tyson

Peacefully passed away February 3, 2019. He was born October 10, 1943 to Fred and Dorthy Tyson in Viginia. He grew up in Toledo, Ohio and worked many years at Libbey Glass where he retired. He enjoyed going back home to Viginia to visit his loving sister, Joann and family; and loved to go hunting with his best friend, Darlyle Blanton. He had a great passion for car racing and enjoyed watching it and going to Toledo Speedway. He enjoyed going to his place in Posey Lake with his lovely late wife, Jeannine. He had just completed putting a home in Virginia right next to his family so he could spend cold months there and the rest in Toledo.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Sue Morris; son-in-law, Todd Cole; grandchildren: Lisa and Michael Morris, and Habun Moore; and great-grandchildren: Serenity Young and Tristan Morris, Nita and Diana McWilliams; and loving step-children: Larry Feltner, Linda Mizer, Karen Kessel, Debbie Berger, Vickie Davis and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Jeannine; and daughter, Darlene.

To my Toledo Speedway Buddy, always looked forward to talking to you at the speedway and having you hanging out at the gate with me. I felt I knew your whole family with all the stories you'd tell me about them, the stories about the lake and the cars you wanted too buy. I was glad to have met your daughter, son-in-law and grand daughter this past summer and gotten some pictures with them. Hope you got rid of that beard! Rest comfortably and we'll meet up sometime again to catch a race. Sgt Ed Mack Toledo Police
