Jane D'Arcangelo Obituary
Jane J. D'Arcangelo, loving wife, and mother of 4, was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph and Mary Bochenek on June 17, 1936. Jane married Michael J. D'Arcangelo and they were married for 63 wonderful years, prior to his passing in 2021. Jane died peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on July 29, 2025.
Jane is survived by her 4 children, Joseph (Julia) D'Arcangelo, Toni D'Arcangelo, Julie (John) Husk, and Brad (Dana) D'Arcangelo. In addition, she is survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her 6 siblings.
Jane graduated from Central Catholic High School and then attended the University of Toledo.
She was a loving homemaker and once her children were out of school, worked for Elder-Beerman for over 25 years. Jane's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and hosting dinners at her home. Her homemade pasta was legendary, and her holiday gatherings were eagerly anticipated by family and friends alike.
Jane was a devout Catholic and instilled her strong values and religious beliefs into her family. She was a member of OLPH parish for over 40 years and watched mass daily.
Jane was absolutely devoted to her husband, Mike, and they loved to listen and dance to Frank Sinatra. During her last days, she told her grandchildren to look into the sky and when they saw two stars close together, that was Gramma and Papa holding hands, looking down from heaven and watching over them.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate in memory of Jane to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or the North Cape Yacht Club Sailing School.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m., with an hour of visiting beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m. Coyle Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
