Janice Patterson Obituary
Janice M. Patterson, age 98, of Toledo, OH, passed away October 4, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice. She was born November 6, 1924, in Defiance, OH to Wayne and Norma (Tharp) Hopkins. Janice was a 1942 graduate of Defiance High School. For 20 years, Janice worked as a salesclerk at JCPenney department store. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed spending time with their family at Palmer Lake in Michigan.
Janice is survived by her children, Jeff (Brenda) Patterson and Patti (Tim) Clay; grandchildren, Natalie (Steve) Kohrman, Joel (Kate) Patterson, and Brad (Crystal) Clay; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jason, Elisabeth, Cecilia, Teresa, Isaac, and Leo Kohrman, Willow Patterson, and Nathan Clay; and nephew, Barry (Teri) Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Patterson; and siblings, Rex Hopkins and Mary Leone Marshall.
Janice will be laid to rest privately at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
