Jeffrey Smolenski Obituary
May 2, 1947 - May 9, 2025
Jeffrey W. Smolenski, age 78, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on May 9, 2025. He was born to Walter and Helen (Stanoff) on May 2, 1947.
Jeff graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1965. His passion was bowling and he managed several centers over the years including a pro shop. He taught the game with enthusiasm and dedication. His contributions to the sport were recognized when he was inducted into the Toledo Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1989.
Outside of bowling, Jeff enjoyed golfing; cherished moments spent with family and embraced life with a joyful spirit.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 43 years, Sandra (Warner); daughter, Shannon (Jasin) Ducat; step-son, Gary (Kelli) Null; daughter, Tracee Woodruff; and grandchildren, Courtney Null, Andrew (Emily) Null, Sadie Ducat, Levi Null, Marissa Grundy and Kailani Null. Jeff is also survived by his brother, Larry Smolenski; and sisters-in-law, Suzanne Toelle and Sheila (Rod) Eitniear.
Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, (SW Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Ave., Toledo, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive guests one hour before Mass begins.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Divine Nursing Home for their compassionate care and friendship. Jeff's spirit will forever be remembered on the lanes he loved and the hearts of those he touched.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Smolenski family during this most difficult time. I worked and bowled with Jeff at Miracle Lanes. He loved bowling and enjoyed helping others become better at it, including myself. I am honored to have known him.
