With deepest sympathy to our Ohio family. This is something I received when Michael passed away and thought I would share with you. It's okay to grieve and wonder why. It's okay to need to be alone, to feel your loss in your own way. It's okay to be confused, to doubt, to wonder if you'll ever feel the same again. And it's okay to take all the time you need until you're over this sadness.... until bright memories come to take away your tears.

My son Connor played baseball and was also in Jerhid's cub scout pack. We were remembering the other day about one baseball game when Jerhid got his first hit of the season how he smiled. We will both remember that smile for all of our lives. Know that your family is in our prayers and our thoughts are with you all. God Bless.

Even though I have never met Jerhid or his family, we have heard plenty about him over the last few years.

Even though we had only met Jerhid a couple of times through scouting activities in early 2008, we were so very deeply saddened to hear that he is no longer with us. Despite all of this, we are rejoicing with happy hearts knowing that he is no longer in any pain or suffering. He may have lost his fight with his illness, but he is a winner because he is now in the presence of our precious Lord & Savior. He is in the company of his Heavenly Father & you do not have to worry about him for he is in his hands now. As parents, we have to learn that children are truly a gift & that gift can be taken away without any warning as we have seen here with Jerhid. We never expect our children to leave this earth before their parents. So that is why we must try to raise our children through the eyes of God in hopes that we may have a more clearer understanding of the things that we do not understand & be able to have peace knowing that everything is in God's hands.

What a handsome young man.What a tragedy for him to have to leave so soon. Only God knows the reason why. It is never easy to lose a child no matter what the age. Please accept my sincere sympathies for your family and hold on to those precious memories for they will help to ease your pain.He is in Gods hands now and he is taking care of him for you until its time for you to reunite in heaven.
