Jerry Gossett, 80, of Maumee, Ohio and Oscoda, Michigan, passed away on June 10, 2024.
Jerry was larger than life and will be missed dearly. Whether greeting you with his consummate "how you doin'?" or serving up a strong margarita, "Goose" made everyone laugh and feel welcomed. His spirited nature and strong business sense are what made him successful at selling steel throughout the Midwest. Jerry was the owner of Bargos Steel until 1998. When he wasn't working, Jerry loved to bird hunt, fish, golf and travel. He saw many parts of the world, but his favorite place was with his wife, family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his sons, Brian and Mark. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ann; his children, Christine Beausoleil and Kirk Gossett (Pam); his grandchildren, Chase, Nathan, Grace and Brian.
Family and friends will be received at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd., Waterville, OH 43566 on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
Memorials made be made to the Church of Saint Andrew, United Methodist (Heatherdowns Road, Toledo) or the charity of your choice.
