Jesus
Jesus Villagomez, age 77, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2014, while surrounded by his family.
He was born to Felix and Tomasa Villagomez on December 26, 1936. He married his childhood sweetheart, Delia Ibarra on October 11, 1953 and together they raised 8 children. During the first years they were married, they resided in Colorado, Jessie worked as a Rancher and took care of cattle and sheep. He described this to his family as "the best time of his life." Jessie spent his career working as a Machine Operator for Baron Steel Enterprises for 20 years, retiring in 1999. He was ordained a Deacon by Catholic Diocese of Toledo in 1982. He dedicated his life to the church and to his family. Jessie had a passion for gardening, music and volunteering his time helping those in need. He was also known for his great sense of humor.
Jessie is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chris Villagomez; sisters, Carmen Hernandez, Juanita Rodriguez, Eleana Villagomez; son-in-law, Mark E. Pasquinelly and great-granddaughter, Joselyn Garrity. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Delia; children, Oralia (Toby) Pasquinelly Hensley, Miguel (Barbara) Villagomez, David Villagomez, Robert (Nancy) Villagomez, Steve (Gina) Villagomez, Edward (Denise) Villagomez, Veronica (Bradley) Bischoff and Judith (William) Boyle; sisters, Ladisladisa and Eleanor Villagomez; brother, Rodrigo (Petra) Villagomez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at the Our Lady,Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, OH 43610 on Wednesday, June 25, from 4-8 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Rosary Cathedral on Thursday, June 26, at 10 a.m. Interment Restlawn Cemetery.
The Villagomez family would like to thank the staff at the Flower Hospital Hickman Cancer Center for their loving care. Also special thanks to Dr. Timothy (his teenage doctor) Kasnic and Nurse Practitioner, Cyndi Sutton and Jean Jenkins.

To Mom, LaLa and the entire Villagomez family,
We are so sorry to hear about Dad's passing. He was a great man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him so deeply. He devoted his life to so many. May God bless each and everyone of you. We regret that we were not here to attend his services as we have been out of town over the past two weeks and just returned home tonight. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We hope he is hugging and holding our 3 year old sweet little Grandson Max tightly.
