Jo Ann Florence Swanger, age 86, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Otterbien Retirement Home in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born on January 5, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles Jr. and Florence (Wilson) Dusseau. Jo Ann attended St. Charles grade school and later graduated from Libbey High in 1952. She was a waitress, where she worked at many places including: Maggies Restaurant, Surf, Bungalow, Bill Illes and the Northwood Villa. Jo Ann also took great pride in working along side her son Kristopher for 30 years answering the phones at Swangs Carpet Cleaning. She enjoyed traveling to places like Florida, Spain, Italy, but most of all enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas.

Jo Ann is survived by her son, Kristopher (fiancé, Genevieve Thomas) Swanger, and Tim (Christine) Brandhuber; grandchildren, Dustin, Derek (Lauren), Lindsay, Shaun (Kelly), Shane and Jennifer (Rob); many great grandchildren and canine companions, Lilly and Bentley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lauren "Bing" Swanger; son, Neil "Tommy" Brandhuber; daughter, Toni Marie Fitzgerald and sister, Beatrice Hartranft.

Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio.
