Bradenton, FL, formerly of Toledo, OH, on Monday March 27, 2017. Beloved husband for 60 years of Jesucita (Villarreal) Padilla
Loving father of Jose (Hilda) Padilla and Lori (Eric) Miner; proud grandfather of Jacob, Camille, Joey and Avery; brother of Irene (Richard) Pond, Helen (Donald) Carroll, Sylvia (Fred) Sisneros, William (Reba) Padilla, Larry Padilla, and Joy (Steve) Swenson and the late Diane Ramos Chavez and Mary Padilla.
Family will welcome friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schellhaas and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford), where a service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in National Cemetery of the
Alleghenies (Bridgeville).
Joe was a proud Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. He was a principal at Monroe High School in Monroe, MI. Joe was a passionate golfer and enjoyed rooting for his Detroit Tigers and Lions. Joe was a very hard worker and a true American success story, going from a migrant worker to a high school principal.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Joe's name to Orchard Hill Church, 2551 Brandt School Rd., Wexford, PA 15090.
