John Boes Obituary

Dr. John P. Boes

November 2, 1951 - August 13, 2022

Dr. John P. Boes passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.

John was a beloved husband to his wife of 43 years, Luigina (nee Ciampa); proud father to his two children, Paul (Bridget) and Allie (Will) Schwartz; and loving "Pop Pop" to his three grandchildren, Warren, Lucas, and Eleanora. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

John was born November 2, 1951, to the late Pierre and Virginia Boes in Toledo, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Luigina, on June 16, 1979, and became a dedicated father to Paul and Allie. John enjoyed bicycling around Toledo, OSU football, hockey with Paul, Nutcracker with Allie, traveling, and being active. In his free time, he was an advocate of the city of Toledo, and gave astute advice and taught everyday lessons to his family and friends. Above all, he loved and enjoyed his family and wanted them to be together.

After earning his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Boes spent more than 40 years helping many, caring for many, and saving many.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection - 6300 E Dublin Granville Rd, New Albany, OH 43054.

In lieu of gifts, please consider donating to Dr. Boes' memory to the ALS Association at https://www.als.org/donate.

I can feel your heart breaking all the way in Toledo. I am so sorry. You and John were a beautiful couple and I'm sad that you won't have more years together. Cherish the memories, lean on your family and friends. Sending you much love.

Luijina

I am deeply saddened by your loss. Although I grew up in Old Orchard I met John at U.T. as his Biology lab instructor. I had the privilege of practicing with him at the local hospitals. I took care of his parents and remember one of his mother's visits. She brought with her a blue babies bonnet.
She put it on her head and told me that it was John's. I doubt anyone has ever heard that story. What a funny moment that was. It's ironic how things like that stay hidden in one's memories.
"May John's memory be a blessing" to you and your family.

My deepest sympathies to John´s family. I knew John when he was in college at "TU". He was driven then. Sounds like he was a good man. May John Rest In Peace.

Luigina and Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
John and I played football together at the new St. John's Jesuit HS for four years. John was a gentle giant on and off the field. He will be remembered by all his classmates as we also will mourn his loss. Blessings to you and your family.

So many memories, but the best one will always be Yellowstone, Jackson and the winding roads that took us there.
