I think about John almost everyday. I find myself picking up my phone to give him a call. Then sadly I stop and realize all I can do is remember. Rest in peace John.

I was a Pharmacy Intern at Shales Pharmacy while in college. John was great to work with. He bought me lunch every shift that we worked together. I bought my first car off of him, a 1970 Chevy for $350. Great guy!!!

I worked with John at Mercy Hospital in the early 80´s. An all around great guy. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

John was fun to work with and when he found out we went to the same high school he did everything to help me understand where to put my money. And he and my husband got along so well telling there stories about their youth, going to miss that.

My dear, sweet friend. I miss you already. I have so many great memories of our friendship. None are better than our time together in Ukraine. I know you think you hit the jackpot when you found Carol. The truth is that we are all richer for having you in our lives. I have been praying for you and Carol for a long time. Now prayers are for Carol and the rest of your family. Knowing how you deeply loved them will bring comfort to them, I am sure.

To the whole Campbell family: I am so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. The past four days I´ve had this real urge to come visit John, it wouldn´t have been a good time for that.

John and I were pharmacists together. That started about 25 years ago. We formed a friendship bond that has lasted and thrived since then. I will truly miss him. He was very special to me.

It has been years since I´ve seen John and I was not aware of his diagnosis. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. He was truly a ray of sunshine in the world. We served together on several charitable committees and projects. I will always remember his joyful laugh and extremely generous spirit.

I did not know John but knew his mother, Clara, very well. We were members of TOPS a weight loss group. She would tell me all about her three sons. My sympathy to the Campbell family. To me Clara was my best friend at TOPS.

John was a great friend ,classmate and financial advisor. The memory I would like to share is from our senior year in high school. John. Bill Burt ,Mel Williams and myself had planned a trip to Florida during spring break. We were to leave Friday night. The teachers were on strike at the time but decided to come back the following Monday and cancel spring break. I heard about this earlier and went to John's house to tell him as he was the driver. We picked up Mel and Bill and left before the 11 o'clock news. The principal contacted us on Monday and said that if we didn't get back ,we would be suspended for 10 days. We responded that we would spend that 10 days down in Florida. He cancelled the suspension and we had a great spring break. Needless to say ,but when we returned ,all four of us were in the front row of Mrs Gregg's math class . (That means that our grades for that period were the lowest in her class )
You will be missed John. RIP

I met John through the Tuesday Boys group some years ago, and I've valued his warm smile and infectious laughter and wit ever since. He was always ready to tell a funny or insightful story, and was always wonderful company. The world was a much better place for having John in it. You will be missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I remember when our coworkers from Savage & Associates would shop in his basement for the families we blessed at Christmas time. It was like a department store. He was a blessing for a lot of people.
