Our family grew up around the corner from the Gists, with kids playing together and walking to school each day. The adults played bridge for decades together with two other couples from Augsburg church. John was an honorable man, who cherished his family and friends and served as an absolutely wonderful role model for the many young people he knew. Please accept the heartfelt sympathies of the Campbell clan on the loss of your dear patriarch. Sending love, Janet Campbell Spevak

Hello Jim, Lynn, and Scott. We are sorry to hear about your Father's passing. I have fond memories of the Gist home on Elmhurst. Both your Mom and Dad always made me feel welcome. Our condolences.
