John Hatfield Obituary
I am gone with the "Grace of God". I hope to be reunited with my family. Born February 19, 1938, left this world September 6, 2024. I attended St. Thomas grade school, Central Catholic High School, and The University of Toledo. I married Jean Ann Spencer, April 25th, 1959, and we raised 5 daughters together. I was involved in many businesses, I started Johnny's On The Spot Car Wash & Carry Out. I also helped accumulate 296 Acres which is now Eagles Landing Golf Course & subdivision. I was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
I am survived by my daughters. Jennifer (Doug) Brummett, Janelle (Ken Kozlowski) Bihn, Jodi (Lee) Eckman, Julie (Bob) Henry and Jill (John) Snyder; my grandchildren, Troy (Roseanne) Brummett, Torey (Stephanie) Brummett, Tylor (Kacy) Dwornik, Danielle (Tom) Addison, Dayne (Cassie) Bihn, Darah Morrissey, Dana Bihn, Leah (Jonathan) Niese, Devon (Molly) Eckman, Dylon (Matt Hutcherson) Eckman, Ryan (Holly) Eley, Tristin (Kayla) Snyder, Callie (Cole Wieging) Snyder, Easton and Braylon Snyder; my great-grandchildren, Logan, Brooks, Baker, Riggins, Lyla, Veyda, Daxton, Wilde, Recker, Ella, Graylee, Tatum, Shea, Tuhlee, Griffin, Corbin and Ransom; my sisters, Helen Daney and Jean Newis. I am preceded in death by my wife, Jean Hatfield; parents, Robert and Ida Hatfield; sister, Mary Fandrey; and grandson-in-law Max Morrissey. All services are private. Eggleston Meinert & Pavely Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Ignatius Catholic Church. JOHN THOMAS HATFIELD would have made a perfect replacement for Johnny Carson, on the Tonight Show. John´s charismatic humor was one of a kind. He could come up with a sometimes sarcastic one liner that was hilarious, always tickling somebody´s funny bone. That´s the way an old friend remembers JOHN THOMAS HATFIELD

Uncle John,
I was blessed through marriage into the Fandrey/Hatfield families.
You were the source of endless wit and wisdom as a friend and mentor to me in so many little ways.
I will always cherish the time shared with you, whether playful banter or serous discourse. You were more than an uncle "adopted" through marriage, but a friend and confidant.
Thank you for your listening ear and ready sound advice.
You have been a good and faithful servant.... now enjoy your reward with Jesus and Jean.

John was a wonderful man. Conversations with him were always very interesting and I always learned something from them whether it was about business or life. A true gem! His humor was a wonderful side of his personality. He will be truly missed. Condolences to the entire family!

Nearly 70 years of great memories of John and Jean. Two of the hardest working people I knew. John never passed up an opportunity or shied away from risk. Always smiling and pleasant. My thoughts and prayers are for his large and loving family who follow in their footsteps.
