John P. Jr.
John P. Lewinski Jr., age 55 years, of South Toledo, passed away Tuesday
evening, October 8, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. John was born in Toledo on May 26, 1958, to John P. and Norma (Flemion) Lewinski Sr. He had been employed as a custodian for 17 years at Queen of
Apostles Catholic School and
recently was a self-employed
construction worker. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish.
He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving is his wife, Kristen M. (Robinson) Lewinski; children, John P. (Krista) Lewinski III, Tammy (Shad) Burdue, Lori (Jake) Chinnis, Alexia Lewinski, and Tyler Lewinski; mother, Norma Lewinski; brother, Daniel Lewinski; sister, Terry (Robert) Faulkner; five grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 2 until 8 p.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski
Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (419-531-4424). The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12, at 11 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 434 Western Avenue, Toledo. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

neighborhood guy came in to our store today and told us about John. I enjoyed his humor every time I ran into him. Saw him at Home Depot 3 months ago . Prayers to John's family

It is with great sadness that I learned of John's passing. Although I had not seen him in quite a while I cannot ever forget his spitit and sense of humor. He seemed to love life no matter how difficult it was at times. We had some wonderful conversations about life and times. He shall be missed. He was truly a special person and a good riend.

I grew up across the street from John on Leland street in the house he now owns. We became very close childhood friends. Oh the stories I could tell. Catching bats in his garage, chasing chipmunks up and down downspouts with tennis balls, getting free sodas from Al and Helens market as we wrapped them around our fingers with our percieved sweetness, and of course tormmenting Teri and my sister Laura. While we grew apart in our adulthood John was always remembered during family gatherings of the fun times my brothers and I spent with him growing up. Prayers are extended to John and his family. May you rest in peace friend.

We knew your father for many years from Our Lady of Toledo Shrine and also from his attendance at the Traditional Latin Mass. He was a very sweet, gentle man, who loved Our Lord and Our Lady so much. He spent much time in front of the Blessed Sacrament when he visited and we miss him very much.
