John Christopher
John Christopher Steinmetz, 44, of Lakewood, OH passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 in Lakewood.
Born in Toledo on June 1, 1971, he was the oldest son of John and Suzette (Hofelich) Steinmetz. John graduated from Woodmore High School in 1989 and attended literature courses at Wright State University. He will be remembered for his literary intrigue, being an avid reader and poetry writer. He was also a treasured member of many online communities.
He is survived by his parents of Woodville; siblings, Nicole (Greg), Sarah (Marcos) Requena of Woodville, and Robert L. Steinmetz of Belleville, MI; nieces and nephews, Marissa, Cassondra, Matthew, Connor, Alayna, Steeven and Briella and best friend,
Tracy Meyerhofer.
Visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, June 1, 6-7 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services,
Gibsonburg where a Mass of Resurrection will be said at 7 p.m. Rev. Ted Miller will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spina Bifida Association or to Easter Seals.
