John Toth Obituary
John S. Toth, Jr., 88, of Waterville, OH, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Ayden Healthcare. He was born November 10, 1935 to John and Mary (Tom) Toth in Cleveland, Ohio.
John proudly served 29 years as a machine operation specialist at GM Powertrain. He was a member of the UAW Local 14 and very active with the Monclova Road Baptist Church, where he and his wife Marilyn were greeters. John was an avid car enthusiast, especially for his 1937 Plymouth, in addition to his love of antiquing. In more recent years, he enjoyed weekly lunches with his group at "Rainbow Park" along the Maumee River.
John is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Delong) Toth; children, Steven (Debbie) Hartman, John (Sue) Hartman, and Joel (Denise) Sondys; stepchildren, Penny (Scott) Vann, Mike (Paula) Grieb, and Pam (Scott) Giest; and was also blessed with the love of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; previous wife, Charlotte Toth; and granddaughter, Alicia Hartman.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home (501 Conant Street, Maumee). A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. and interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Monclova Road Baptist Church or the Greater Northwest Ohio Diabetes Association.
