John C. Truby passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio, at 86.

John worked at Jobst as a truck driver and shipping clerk, reflecting his strong work ethic.

He enjoyed woodworking, golf, writing poetry, and dancing the Two-Step and Polka with his wife, Pat. He loved the outdoors-fishing, strolling through Toledo's parks, or relaxing with Pat on their porch or backyard swing.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia (Marsalko) Truby; children, Debbie (Ron) Meadows, Tammy (Adrian) Cole, and Johnny Truby; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, June (Richard) Jirinec and Virginia (James) Corthell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Grace Truby; and siblings, Carol Reeves, Nancy Jacob-Rauffer, James Truby, Norman Truby, and David Truby.

John's warm heart and mischievous humor made him a friend to many. His kindness and joy left an indelible mark on the hearts of his friends, family, and neighbors. His love for life will live on in their memories.

Mr Truby was my neighbor for 20 yrs. I lived at the corner of Euclid and 4th. Whenever I´d see him in the neighborhood we always had a conversation. He was a very nice man.
