Jon Papenfus Obituary

PAPENFUS Jon A. Jon A. Papenfus, 65, of Las Vegas, passed away September 9, 2009. He was born March 8, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio and resided in Las Vegas for eighteen years. Jon was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from Prudential Insurance Co. as a sales manager. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonny; a brother, Carl; sisters, Louise Blaker and Mary Abbott; father, John and mother, Louise. He is survived by his wife, Tamra of 47 years; daughters, Diana Gifford, of Montana, Deborah of Colorado; brothers, Albert of Virginia, Charles of California; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 43 W. Pacific Ave. in old Henderson, with a short reception afterwards in the gathering room off of the chapel. Flowers may be sent to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church or a donation to the American Diabetes Society of Nevada would be appreciated.
