Jose Rodriguez Obituary
Jose "Jay" Catarino Rodriguez III, age 47 of Perrysburg, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born on September 5, 1974 to Jose C. Rodriguez, Jr. and Refugia "Kookie" (Pecina) in Toledo.
Jay loved fishing, boating, classis cars, and music. He also enjoyed building model cars and could always be up for some Mexican food. His favorite team was the New England Patriots and cheered for them whenever he could. Above all, however, he cherished every moment he got to spend with his family. Vacationing, camping, and spending time with family were some of his favorite things to do.
Jay is survived by his fiancée, Tara Barrera; children, Anthony (Brittany), Angelita, Julian, Jose IV, Mercedes, Jayla, Jianna, and Jayanna; mother, Kookie and father, Jose C. Rodriquez, Jr.; siblings, Eloy, Sandra, Eliza, Christina, Olivia, Angel and Jesse (Ashleigh); 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Jose Rodriguez, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Refugia Pecina; and nephew, Jose Ramirez.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with an hour of visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery in Perrysburg.
