Joyce Meyer Obituary
Joyce Meyer, age 90, passed away February 18, surrounded by her family.
Joyce graduated with a teaching degree from Mary Grove College. She taught English and Journalism at Whitmer and Cardinal Stritch.
Joyce will be remembered for many things but primarily for her faith, family, and service. She met Paul on a blind date in 1949 and they later married and had eight children. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner at The Most Blessed Sacrament. She was an active member and past president of Heartbeat of Toledo, a pro-life organization.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Paul Meyer; daughter, Beth (Tim) Rogers; sons, Steve (Kim) Meyer, Mark (Mary Ann) Meyer, Michael (Alissa) Meyer, Greg (Vanessa) Meyer, Karl Meyer; daughter-in-law, Katie Meyer; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Tom Meyer and Jim "JT" Meyer.
Visitation will be Monday, February 21st from 3-7 p.m., with the Rosary at 6 p.m. at Ansberg-West Funeral Home. On Tuesday, the 22nd, there will be a viewing hour at 10 a.m. at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Most Blessed Sacrament or Heartbeat of Toledo. Condolences for Joyce's family may be expressed online at
