Judith Getzinger Obituary

Judith M. Getzinger

02/19/1948 - 05/06/2025

Judith Margaret Getzinger of Lasalle, MI, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 6th, at Promedica Monroe (Michigan) Regional Hospital after complications from surgery. Her passing was preceded by her parents, John S. and Carolyn M. (Stanbery) Onisko; and her son, Michael L. Getzinger. She attended and graduated from Start H.S. (Toledo) and received her Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from the University of Toledo. She spent her working-life between Toledo Hospital and LMHA (Lucas County Metropolitan Housing Authority).

Judy is survived by her most beloved daughter, Kristan E. Getzinger; her two brothers, John L. Onisko and Richard W. Onisko; and her sister, Nancy M. Onisko. She will be especially remembered by her beautiful granddaughters (whom she raised), Olivia R. Johnson, Alyssa R. (Johnson) Hubbert and her husband, Blaine; and Madison L. Johnson. She is also survived by her handsome great-grandson, Vicent Michael Hubbert (one-year-old), whom she got to hold and cherish.

Judith helped, guided, and anchored each member of her family. Her devotion to them was unbounded. She gave to each her patience, love, and tremendous joy. She will be felt in every moment of every day, and she will be missed in every moment of every day. To her family, the emptiness of her passing will never be filled. She was greatly loved by all.

She will be cremated. No public services will be held at this time. Services will be held in the summer at Toledo Memorial Park where she will be buried along with her son and mother. (Details will be made known then).
