Judith Osborne Obituary

Judith Ann Osborne

Judith Ann Osborne, 84, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at her cottage at Devil's Lake, Michigan. Judy was born in Toledo on May 13, 1940 to Carl R. Schueren and Esther M. (Harrison) Schueren. She was a 1958 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. Judy worked as an office manager for NA Mans Lumber Co., formally Airport Lumber, retiring in 2002.

Judy married Donald Franklin Osborne on October 22, 1960. They were blessed with 1 daughter, Heather Ann Butterfield (Keiran), who she talked with daily. Her pride and joy were her 3 grandsons who her life revolved around, and she loved more than anything else in the world. David, Jonathan and Michael brought her endless happiness and laughter. You could usually find Judy at a football or lacrosse game, track meet, or trapsing through a field at a cross-country meet, cheering on her grandsons.

Judy loved spending time with family and friends at the cottage her and Don built at Devil's Lake in 1980. Lots of wonderful memories on the water and ice with family and friends during boating season, snowmobiling, the annual Tip-Up celebrations and poker runs, cookouts, campfires and playing games; the lake brought everyone together.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Don (2014); sister, Kay (Jones); brothers, Gary Schueren and Jan Schueren. Judy is survived by her only child Heather (Keiran) Butterfield; grandsons, David, Jonathan and Michael Butterfield; brother Alan (Doris) Schueren; sister, Lynn (John) White; sister-in- law, Phyllis Schueren; and 15 nieces and nephews. Our family extends sincere heartfelt thanks for so many supportive and close friends and wonderful neighbors of Judy, both at home and at the lake, who made her life so full and complete.

Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave. on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the funeral home.
